February Totals

Wow! I just completed by 12 experiment of keeping track of all of my grocery purchases and savings. You probably noticed that I post my numbers at the end of each month on the sidebar of my blog. Well. . . here are the totals from Feb. and the GRAND totals:

February 2010 Totals

• Spent $455.33
• Saved $451.13
• 50%
• BP Savings $11.84
• BP Savings to Date $109.68

GRAND TOTALS

• Total Spent 3/09-2/10 $5070
• Total Saved 3/09-2/10 $ 4575
• 47%

Wow! That's a lot saved when I look back over the past year. This shows that I feed my family of 5 on $422 a month. That's less than $100 per person! I feel really good about that. The strategies that I use and teach at the grocery store truely spill over into all of the other purchases that we make. Really, from buying birthday presents to applicances, I am a much smarter shopper than I used to be. And. . . if I can do it, you certainly can to!

January Totals

January is in the books. Here are my totals:

I have been keeping monthly total for 11 months now and I can hardly believe what I have saved! I am just over $4,100! I wonder if I will hit the $4,500 mark by the end of this month. I'm off to a good start already!

Well, another month is in the books! It's hard to believe how quickly the weeks go by. Here's how I did this month:

I spent more than I would have liked this month, but found myself having large groups of kids over and needing to buy some things that were not on sale :( We'll try to be a bit better in November.
