Target Coupon in Today's Paper

There was a Target Coupon for $1.50 off a GE light bulb package in the front page section of today's Star Tribune. This coupon expires on 2/28. This is a high dollar coupon that will stack with any Manufacturer's Coupon for the same product.

B. Dalton Closing

You may have read in today's Business section of the Star Tribune that B Dalton at Southdale is closing. I remember shopping at this store when I was a kid! All B Dalton locations are closing with the Minnesota stores (Bemidji and Edina) closing on Jan. 16th. I'm sure there are good deals to be had for you booklovers or those who love to stock up on gifts.

Coupons in Today's Paper

This is the second weekend in a row that Rainbow Foods has taken out a full-page ad in the "A" section of the paper. Today there are 4 coupons on A4 ( Section A is the main section of the paper).

Early Sunday Edition of the Star Tribune

This weekend the Saturday early edition of the Sunday Star Tribune has changed. The promotion has been saying that the early edition and the Sunday edition will be the same minus any late-breaking news. Well, from what I can see, the early edition is the same as it has been. The early edition has always included the coupon inserts and a few ads, but not all of them. I picked up the early edition today at a Holiday Station Store for 50 cents and it does not have all of the ads. It is still missing the Target ad, Walmart ad (if there is one this weekend) and several others. I did receive 2 sections of coupon inserts.
I will compare this edition to the paper I get tomorrow morning and let you know what I see. I was hopeful that the early edition would truely be a complete paper. I am a bit disappointed, but will reserve judgement for a few weeks until I see how this all works out.

Tomorrow's Paper

There's a couple of things to look for in the Star Tribune tomorrow. This is what I have found from the early edition. If I spot any more deals in the full edition tomorrow, I'll add another post then. Here you go!

• There's a full-page Rainbow Foods Ad in the front page section (A14). You'll notice that Rainbow is having a 4 day sale from 10/18-10/21. The following 4 coupons are included on this page:
• Roundy's Large Eggs 1 dozen $.68 Limit one with coupon
• Tide Liquid Laundry Detergent $4.99 Limit one with coupon
• Pork Baby Back Ribs $2.77 lb. Limit 2 pkgs. with coupon
• Bolthouse Farms Baby-Cut Carrots 1 lb. bag $.77 Limit 2 with coupon
• These coupons are ALL RAINBOW coupons, so get out your manufacturer's coupons to stack with these for a deeper discount.

• Walmart has a full-page ad also in this same section on page A16. The only item they are advertising on this page is bananas for $.39 lb.
• Walmart is also mentioning their price matching policy. Remember, this policy only applies to the advertised items at other stores. The majority of deals at the grocery store each week are unadvertised.

• Check out the Snyders ad in the paper tomorrow for a $1 manufacturer's coupon for Lubriderm.

Changes at the Star Tribune

Here's an update from the Star Tribune:

Starting Saturday Oct. 24th, the Saturday and Early Sunday newstand editions combine to become one great paper: the new Early Edition Sunday Star Tribune. Only $.50! With Saturday's news, Sunday's comics and advertising inserts plus Parade Magazine.

I wonder if this means that ALL of the advertising inserts will be included. Right now there are several ads that are not part of the early Sunday Edition. We'll see!

$.99 Star Tribune Subscriptions

Be sure to check your Sunday Star Tribune tomorrow for another insert offering a 26 week subscription for $.99 a week. Now, this is the same offer that I blogged about a few weeks ago. The ad this week does say that the offer expires 9/15, but since it is being included in this week's paper, I would definitely call the subscription office at 612-673-4343 and plead my case for getting this price.
