Roundy's FuelPerks Promotion To Continue!

Great News! The FuelPerks promotion between Roundy's and BP is going to continue through July! I told you several weeks ago that I had noticed the verbage changing in the weekly Rainbow Foods ad. It no longer mentioned the promotion ending, but it didn't mention that it was continuing either. Well. . . in this past Sunday's paper Roundy's did announce that the promotion will continue through July 2010. No mention of the program changing at all. It's not too late for you to get in on this deal! With gas prices inching towards $3/gallon, who wouldn't want to save a bit at the pump? This promotion doesn't cost you a thing but it does enhance your savings at Rainbow/Copps/Pick 'N Save. Here's how to get started:
  • Go to Customer Service at Rainbow Foods and request a FuelPerks card.
  • They will ask for your driver's license and phone number
  • You will receive a FuelPerks card that looks like a credit card. You can also request a smaller keychain tag. **You can request 2 cards that combine your credits so that you and your spouse can work together towards your earnings**
  • Each time you check out at Rainbow give the card to the cashier. They will swipe the card which will allow it to accrue credits toward gas.
  • If you are at the checkout and you have forgotten your FuelPerks card, you can link your credits to your card by giving the cashier your phone number!
  • Check the bottom of your receipt for your credit balance
  • Purchase your gas at a local BP.
  • Follow the prompts on the digital display at the pump and reap your instant rewards.
  • You will not receive any correspondence via mail or email from Roundy's as a participant in this program. Do not be concerned about spam, etc.

Let me know if you are using this program and how it is working for you!

  1. June 18, 2010 -- near end of the "illusive Fuelperks" program.

The problem with the Fuelperks program at Roundy's (i.e. RAINBOW) stores is NOT getting the Fuelperks credits ON PAPER(because so many things describe how to get the Roundy's tags/cards for accumulating Fuelperks), but rather the problem is/WAS redeeming the Fuelperks FOR ACTUAL GAS IN YOUR CAR -- because of many obsticles:

    1) The Roundy's receipts that show your Fuelperks don't say you have to go to BP to redeem them -- it just describes how to get more Fuelperks. I'm sure that was an adminstrative decision: Let's tell people how to get Fuelperks but make them work for how to figure-out how to redeem them -- that will make our Fuelperks program look good without costing anything.

    2) Many people don't like keeping extremely long receipts, so they trim them down by separating promotions such as Fuelperks and actual grocery items -- so, once separated DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO or IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE to redeem Fuelperks FOR GAS -- since the bottom half of a receipt has no identifying/authentication info.? None of that info. is readily/easily available/known by customers -- again, achieving administrative strategy set forth in #1 above.

    3) Beth McCoy happily describes the Fuelperks program; but she only repeats the same thing Roundy's drummed into her about "how to get more Fuelperks", but then when Beth gets to the difficult/mass-unknown part about "how EXACTLY are the Fuelperks redeemed?", she glossed over it -- see
    http://grocerytutor.blogspot.com/2010/04/roundys-fuelperks-promotion-to-continue.html
-- and she only says "follow prompts at BP gas pump"; so people with Roundy's receipts still don't know how the Fuelperks are authenticated by BP for redemption (do you need info. form the receipt, a Roundy's tag/card, or what when you go to BP -- or do they assume everyone lugs their receipts and Roundy's tags/cards with them everywhere they go).

    4) The bottom of the Fuelperks DID make room for ROUNDYS.IWRSURVEY.COM -- but NOT a web-address for "complete info./details about redeeming Fuelperks". Hum, wonder why? -- oh, that's right, "administrative object defined in #1 above", to keep everyone guessing so they can't redeem their Fuelperks for ACTUAL GAS.

AS DESCRIBED ABOVE, THE PROGRAM FOR FUELPERKS HAD TOO MANY FLAWS AND DRAW-BACKS; UNLESS YOU LIKE LIVING IN THE DARK LIKE BETH -- BECAUSE SHE IS HAPPY PROLIFERATING UNKNOWNS -- and me for one, I like details, so I don't have to guess how these programs work and what is EXACTLY needed when and where I redeem Fuelperks. For those reasons, I was never able to redeem Fuelperks.

  2. I love the fuel perks program and will be really sad to see it go.

  3. Is TennisTableJoe for real? Does he live in the electronic age at all? You give your card to the cashier at Roundy's, it's updated with a new fuelperks amount. You got to BP to get gas, you either process your fuelperks card at the pump or show it to the cashier inside and pay there. Nothing could be simpler.

    ReplyDelete
  4. It's Table Tennis Joe, NOT Tennis Table Joe. Table Tennis is another name for ping-pong. Other than that I agree that they fuel perks are very easy to redeem. One thing that is a problem - the Roundy's card is just a little thicker than a credit card, which causes it to stick in some BP pay-at-the-pump card readers. Maybe paying inside is the way to go.

  9. I'm also looking to take the survey, but where is it?? I guess this is their way of not having to give free groceries.

  10. The Roundy's site is not apparently working, for the survey. I love the fuel perks program, get your card, scan each time you shop for at least $50 in groceries.I have had to change my card and account a couple of times when the card would not register at any BP gas stations. But I have been able to get to their service lines to straighten thins out. I will be sad to see this end in October, I but I look forward to their Holiday programs.

  14. The BP closest to my home in Saint Louis Park, MN does not accept fuel perk cards. I went to another BP gas station & they increased the price of the gas
by 20 cents a gallon when my Fuel Perk card was processed, so I didn't get the 30 cents off I was suppose to, only 10 cents. I wonder if they request the reimbursement of 30 cents from Roundy? If so they are scamming Roundy $2-3 per customer.

  26. Who the hell wants to buy gas from BP - I have 90 cents off the gallon and I will not use it - I think Roundys should re-think their partnership with BP. Plus this past summer the BP owner on Gammon told me he had turned of the fuelperks and I had to pay full price for that day. FULL of crap, will never buy gas there again.

  38. NO SURVEY, YOU KNOW THAT IS JUST LIKE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE STORE, I WANTED TO KNOW IF I HAD ANY MONEY TOWARDS FUEL PERKS LAST NIGHT SO I WENT TO THE STORE AND THE GAL AT CUSTOM SERVICE SAID "I CAN NOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TOWARDS FUEL PERKS UNLESS YOU BUY SOMETHING" THAT MADE ME MAD, IT WAS JUST HER ATTITUDE THAT JUST BURNED ME UP! CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO, SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THE CUSTOMER AT ALL! YOU KNOW I TOLD THE CASHIER THAT THIS FUEL PERK COULD BE A GOOD THING BUT IT IS FOR ONLY ONE MONTH AND THEN THEY EXPIRE THAT IS TERRIBLE IF THEY COULD ONLY BE FOR 45 TO 60 DAYS IT WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE PEOPLE ON SOCIAL SECURITY OR FOR PEOPLE ON FOOD STAMPS. I TOLD HER I WAS GOING TO GO TO THE COMPETITOR AND I AM DONE WITH PLAYING AT RAINBOW!

  53. They sent me an E-mail saying that they had no trouble using http://roundysiwrsurvey.com was working on their end. Well it doesn't work on my end and judging from the many comments it doesn't on any one elses end either.I wish I could say they were unique, but alot of other companies surveys and sweeps are the same also.

  54. DUDE, I signed up for the fuelperk program on their site with my roundy's card number. I go to Pick n Save and I bought plenty of qualified stuff (Which is my household needs) and I GET NO FUEL PERKS CREDIT OR WHATEVER. NOTHING SHOWS UP. I THINK ROUNDY SUCKS. SCAMMERS. FUELPERK MY AAZZZ

  55. Chance to win $50 in free groceries just for logging on & taking a survey!!Wow, in these tough economic times that would really be great!!! One problem, WHERE IS THE SURVEY??? I searched for almost 30 minutes, could not find where to take this survey. Hey Roundy's, does this so-called survey even EXIST??? Judging from the previous comments on the same subject, I am guessing, NOT!! I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and have always THOUGHT that Roundy's was appreciative of it's loyal customers. I guess I was wrong, so I will find somewhere else to spend my next $50 rather than your store.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I love fuel perks. And don't ever remember having difficulty finding out how it works.
Just go to a BP station to buy fuel and the pumps ask you everything you need to enter.
Basically yes or no questions. Pretty easy as long as you have your perks card with you. Save $.10 on each gallon.

    ReplyDelete
  57. cut and paste ROUNDYS.IWRSURVEY.COM into url and the survey will appear :) note there is NO www at the beginning. Worked great!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Has roundys said when the fuelperks promotion is ending?

    ReplyDelete
  59. I shop at store because I like the people and I liked getting .10 off a gallon of gas but that went down and so did the gallons. They tell me to take the survey that I can't find. So really it does pay to shop at the store anymore.

  65. CLIHDSIH POLEPE WHO CNNAOT RAED: for all you whiners stating there is no survey- while it may be true that the register receipt reflects a bogus web address, and it may ALSO be true that Roundy's does not want to wade thru mountains of customer feedback (especially from rocket scientists like those who post here)there IS a valid survey and I see two posters on this page providing that information. Look to NOVEMBER 21 and NOVEMBER 24 2010 entries. Good luck in the drawing.
