Local Updates

Lots of little pieces of information for you here. Be sure to read it all since some of these tidbits are important.

Cub Foods
The Cub Foods in Eden Prairie is no longer giving a reusable bag refund of $.05 per bag. This is something that they tried for a week recently and then stopped. I wonder why they would stop offering this when their competitors are still offering it?

Rainbow Foods
The Rainbow Foods in Eden Prairie has cracked down on multiple-order check outs. They are allowing you to check out with 2 orders per check-out. They say they have been getting complaints from customers and that the multiple orders take longer. This is why you must be highly orgazed if you shop this way. It saves everyone at the check-out! Here's the solution to this situation: Shop as usual. Check out with 2 orders, take the orders to your car, come back at get in the check out line again and check out 2 more orders.
I totally understand this change and respect the store for trying to keep everyone happy. What this means to me is that I simply need to allow a bit more time at the check-out. Not a big deal in my book.
Rainbow Foods is still offering at $.05/bag refund when you bring in your own bags. You must tell the cashier how many bags you have and remind them to credit you.

New Target Return Policy
I heard about this on the news this week and confirmed the details with the manager of my local Target today. The new return policy has to do with items that you want to return without a receipt. Old Policy: You could return 2 items without a receipt in a 12 month calendar year. There was a dollar limit of about $35 between the 2 items. NEW POLICY: The new policy is that you can return up to $75 worth of merchandise during the calendar year without a receipt. This could mean you return one item or multiple items. The total of your returns is linked to your drivers license that they will scan at the Guest Services Counter.
Target is making their policy more consumer friendly in order to keep the customer happy. They take in merchandise daily that they can't even be sure was bought at Target, so they are taken advantage of often. I always keep my receipts for things that might need returning at some point. I think their policy is very generous.
Target is also offering a $.05/bag refund when you bring in your own reusable bags. Thanks, Target!

Target Holiday Toy Coupon Catalog
This popular item is not available in stores yet, but it will be there my Wed. Nov. 4th for sure, maybe a day or 2 earlier. The catalog will be available in stores before it comes out in the paper on the 8th.
