Target Price Matching Policy

Have you heard? Target has now joined Walmart in offering to match prices.

How it Works

You must take in the full current weekly ad that includes the prices you would like to see Target match, and all price matching must be done at customer service rather than at the register. Products subject to price matching must be of a certain brand, not type. For example, Target will match the price of a Dole pineapple, but they will not honor a price match if the brand of pineapple is not advertised. Your market my vary so I suggest contacting your local store for more details.

Here's the email from Target headquarters that is circulating around the blogosphere:

Dear Target Guest,

Thanks for taking the time to ask us about price matching at Target. Target now offers price matching with any qualifying competitor. To take advantage of this promotion you must bring in local competitor’s entire current ad. The advertised price must be valid at the competitor the day the price match is requested. Target does not accept ads that have expired, computer printouts, even those advertising in-store prices. Photos, photocopies or mobile phone versions of in-store prices, partial ads or pages cut from ads are also not accepted. Please visit your local Target location for further information.
